Downey Glass industries procures it's glass from float plants from around the world. The majority of our glass is purchased from Pilkington, PPG and Guardian float plants. We have a wide selection of clear glass thickness's including: 1/8", 3/16", 1/4', 3/8", 1/2", 3/4" & 1". We also have an expansive selection of sizes available to meet all your fabrication requirements. One of our special capacities which sets us apart from the rest of the industry is our "jumbo's". We have 3/16, 1/4", 3/8" 1/2" & 3/4" available in 130" x 204" for oversized glass panels. Our Custom Tempering System can temper these sizes up to 84" x 165". Downey Glass Industries procures it's tinted glass from Pilkington and PPG. Downey Glass Industries has a wide selection of tinted glass in stock. Grey referred to Solar Gray and Bronze referred to Solar Bronze is stocked in 3/16", 1/4", 3/8" & 1/2". Pilkington Blue Green is stocked in 3/8". PPG Solexia formally Solex is stocked in 3/16" & 1/4". PPG Azuria formally Azurlite is stocked in 3/16", 1/4", 3/8" & 1/2". PPG Greylite 14 also referred to as "Black Glass" is stocked in 1/4". Mirrorpane referred to two way glass is stocked in 1/4".

Downey Glass Industries purchases it's pattern glass from Guardian Industries Float Plant which are leaders in the industry for producing high quality pattern glass. We stock the top four patterns used in todays glass pattern solutions. The patterns and thickness's are as follows: Niagara also know as Rain Glass in 72"x84" 3/16" & 72"x84" and 72"x96" 3/8". Spraylite also know as Aquatex in 72"x84" 3/16". P-516 known as Dots in 72"x84" 3/16". Glue Chip in 60"x84" 3/16" & 3/8".
Niagara know as Rain is our most popular pattern glass for fabricating frameless shower doors, glass railings & interior partition's. The Niagara has been equally popular in both residential and commercial applications. As mentioned, the 3/8" is available in 72"x96" for your over-sized glass solutions.

Downey Glass Industries imports it's Acid / Satin Etch Glass from two International locations due to that it is not a process available in the United States. This treated glass is referred to as: Acid Etched, Satin Etched, Opal Etched & Velour. We stock the glass in 96"x130" in 1/4", 3/8" & 1/2". The glass can be cut, drilled, notched, edge polished & tempered without effecting the finish. The Acid Etch Glass has exceeded popularity over pattern glass in the fabrication of frameless Shower Doors. The Acid Etched Glass has also been used widely in Glass Railing where privacy may be required such as in a second floor application in a restaurant. The Acid Etched Glass has been used in a wide range of interior partitions such as office panels and retail store department dividers. Acid Etched Glass has also replaced the traditional sandblasted glass from the standpoint the finish will holdup to everyday applications.

Downey Glass Industries is an PPG authorized distributor & fabricator of Starphire Glass. We stock the Starphire Glass in the following thickness's: 3/16", 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" & 3/4". Starphire Glass Is the clearest glass on the market. Starphire Glass is used for all sorts of glass solutions such as: table tops, shelving, frameless shower doors, partitions, railings to name a few. Downey Glass Industries can also temper Starphire Glass.
